Insurance
The Alberta Luge Association medical insurance for when a member is injured as a result of an accident occurring while out of their home jurisdiction (Alberta) and only while out of province for an Alberta Luge Association event. ALA insurance coverage is meant to supplement the members own insurance coverage or their provincial medical coverage. If you don't have medical insurance, Blue Cross or an insurance provider of your choice will be able to help you.
We provide medical expense coverage which only pays the actual costs of the following:
1. Medical Reimbursement Treatment
2. Emergency Dental Treatment
3. Evacuation due to injury or sickness
4. Repatriation
5. Family transportation and accommodations
6. Some costs for injuries sustained in Alberta which are not covered or limited by Alberta Health Care
For more information on medical insurance and procedures, please contact the ALA office at (403) 202-6570 or email the office
We would like to remind members that this insurance coverage
does not include long/short term disability or life insurance. For more information on this type of coverage, you can contact Darren Krywolt at CJ Campbell (403-520-1321) or the insurance provider of your choice.
